Eight-year veteran Rebecca Allen is a forward for the Phoenix Mercury in the WNBA. She attended Carey Baptist Grammar School before beginning her professional basketball career in the Women's National Basketball League at the age of 16. Early on, Allen made a name for herself in Australian basketball, earning the SEABL Youth Player of the Year award in 2011. In 2013, she added the SEABL Grand Final MVP to her list of achievements, and by 2014, she was awarded the WNBL Defensive Player of the Year for her outstanding defensive abilities in the league.
In 2015, Allen was signed by the New York Liberty as a free agent for the 2015 WNBA season, where she played for six seasons as a backup guard/forward and key defensive player. As of Now, September 21 Allen averaging 7.4 points, 1.1 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game with the Phoenix Mercury.
