The four-time WNBA champion and 13th-time all-star Suzanne Brigit Bird, an iconic American point guard, had a remarkable career with the Seattle Storm in the WNBA. She began her basketball journey at Syosset High School before transferring to Christ the King Regional High School in New York, where she led her team to state and national championships. Bird then chose to play college basketball for the UConn Huskies at the University of Connecticut.

In 2002, Bird was selected as the first overall pick in the WNBA Draft, joining the Seattle Storm. She quickly made her mark, earning All-Star honors in her rookie season. Internationally, she claimed five league titles and five EuroLeague championships in Russia. Representing the United States, Bird secured five Olympic gold medals and four World Cup titles, solidifying her status as one of the greatest point guards in women’s basketball history.
