#1 Daniel Bryan
When Daniel Bryan started in WWE over ten years ago, it was seemingly impossible that he would get anywhere near the main event. He was even fired after his main roster debut as part of the first-ever Nexus invasion. However, there has been no Superstar in the 2010s that was as consistent, captivating, or likable as Bryan has been.
He has taken every angle given to him and knocked it out of the park. From standing up to his NXT Pro, The Miz, and winning the United States Championship to becoming a chicken heel and losing the World Heavyweight Championship to Sheamus in 18 seconds at WrestleMania, Bryan was always stellar.
The multi-time Champion nailed his comedy segments as much as he did as a top star, with his tag team alongside Kane propelling him towards main event status. Bryan became the biggest babyface in WWE courtesy of the 'Yes Movement'. The fans were so vocal for him that WWE had to book him in the main event of WrestleMania 30, where he faced Triple H and later, Randy Orton and Batista in a triple threat for the WWE Championship.
Bryan created one of the greatest moments in WrestleMania history, lighting the Superdome on fire. He did so again during his in-ring return, following a temporary retirement. Bryan was still of use, doing a great job as SmackDown Live's general manager and the host of Talking Smack.
Even if he hadn't been cleared by WWE doctors, Bryan would still be a WWE Hall of Fame-elect. But his latest run has only proven how good the 'Leader of the Yes Movement' truly is. The fact that he took a huge risk to turn heel shows how committed he is to the quality of his work.
Bryan enjoyed an excellent run as the villainous WWE Champion, a run that affirmed his status as a future Hall of Famer. Along with his undoubted in-ring excellence, Daniel Bryan always remained a compelling character throughout his decade in WWE, as a babyface, and as a heel.
He is a generational performer whose assets are a massive boon to WWE. And as long as he remains a part of the company, this former Indie darling will become a Hall of Famer as soon as he retires for good.
