#5 Daniel Bryan

He was once the ultimate underdog, but now he is simply known as one of the top guys in all of professional wrestling. Daniel Bryan has been battling from behind the 8-ball his entire career and slaying giants along the way in order to prove his naysayers wrong.
Following what was believed to be a career-ending injury, Daniel addressed the WWE Universe in early 2016 to issue what was a heart-wrenching retirement speech. Following his retirement, fans expected to see Bryan at the announce table from time-to-time, as well as various non-wrestling roles with the company, which he did do. However, the passion he had for in-ring competition would soon overshadow his injury, however severe it may have been and Bryan would officially go back to wrestling in early 2018. Since making his return, Daniel seems to be just as good as he ever was and has gone back to full-time in-ring competition.
Daniel Bryan is one of those guys you cannot help but root for. He has an undying love for this business, which he proudly puts on display each and every time he makes an entrance. Bryan made a name for himself long before WWE ever came calling, but once he made it to the company, he solidified himself as one of our generations very best. His ability to tell a story using his body is something that not many wrestlers today can compete with. Bryan represents all that is good with professional wrestling and one day, hopefully, many years from now, he will take his rightful place among the immortals in the WWE Hall of Fame.
