After Finn Balor betrayed Damian Priest at SummerSlam 2024, the two men never got an opportunity to face each other in singles action. However, Finn and Damian are scheduled to fight it out in a match at the upcoming Bad Blood Premium Live Event in October.
Damian Priest is a massive favorite ahead of this bout, owing to his recent form and abilities in the ring. Many feel the former Judgment Day member's size and physicality might be too much for Balor to handle. While that may or may not be true, WWE must not book The Archer of Infamy to win this match.
Instead, Finn Balor is the man who should have his hands raised at Bad Blood and in this article, we will look at three reasons why:

#3. Damian Priest beating Finn Balor might end the rivalry
Apart from Finn Balor and Damian Priest, Bad Blood will also witness The Judgment Day member, Liv Morgan, defend the Women's World Championship against Rhea Ripley. While Morgan beat Ripley to retain the title at SummerSlam, Mami is a big favorite to beat the champion at Bad Blood.
If this happens, and Priest also beats Balor, the rivalry between The Judgment Day and the Terror Twins will come to an end due to the dominance of the duo. Hence, if WWE wants to preserve the rivalry, ensuring a Finn victory is a must because Rhea losing would affect her brand value massively, and is hence unlikely.
#2. To save the face of The Judgment Day
Even though The Judgment Day is known for not having a leader, it would be safe to say Finn Balor is in a leading position after the exit of Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest. The 43-year-old, who is the most experienced member of the faction, is also someone the rest of them look up to.
If the former Demon ends up losing the very first time against Damian Priest at Bad Blood, it would be a very embarrassing situation for the faction which might also affect their status and standing. Therefore, WWE needs to ensure the Irishman gets his hands raised at Bad Blood.
#1. Finn Balor has been in the shadows
While Finn Balor is a WWE veteran who is very well respected, he has somewhat been in the shadows of late. Although he did win the Tag Team titles with JD McDonagh and Damian Priest, his career in singles competition has not been the best. The last time Balor won singles gold was in 2022 when he was the United States Champion for 49 days.
This is why WWE needs to be careful while booking him in singles matches. If the promotion wants him to lose the feud with The Archer of Infamy, they can do so eventually. However, instead of letting Priest completely dominate the rivalry, WWE could book Balor to win the first match, after which the former World Heavyweight Champion can exert his dominance and win the feud.
