#2. Muhammad Ali should be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame for being the first celebrity to enter professional wrestling
To put it simply, Muhammad Ali deserves to be in the WWE Hall of Fame for being the first renowned name to lend his star power to the professional wrestling industry.
Without Ali, we would not have seen the likes of Mike Tyson and Tyson Fury stepping in a WWE ring.

Ali was the perfect fit for the wrestling world. His eloquence on the mic and his larger-than-life persona allowed him to seamlessly transition from boxing to wrestling.
His encounter with Gorilla Monsoon and fight with Antonio Inoki helped launch wrestling into the mainstream media in the 70s.
Even in his retirement and in the midst of his battle with Parkinson's disease, Ali appeared at the very first WrestleMania and embarked on a diplomatic mission to North Korea with Antonio Inoki, Ric Flair, and other WCW wrestlers.
Aside from being the first big name to appear in wrestling, many would contend that Ali remains the biggest celebrity to ever appear in the wrestling business.
Ali's induction into the WWE Hall of Fame is not only well deserved but long overdue.
#1. Cyndi Lauper should be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame for her role in launching the company into the mainstream
Speaking of long overdue WWE Hall of Fame inductions, Cyndi Lauper was an integral part of the early days of WWF's mainstream success. Had it not been for a chance encounter between her and Captain Lou Albano, the Rock n Wrestling Connection may not have happened.
Lauper was one of the world's biggest stars in the 80s and had struck a friendship with Albano, whom she had asked to act in her music video. Albano soon convinced her to appear on WWF, and the rest was history.
Lauper was soon rubbing shoulders with Hulk Hogan and the rest of WWF's top superstars. Many wrestlers also appeared in her music videos, and more mainstream attention was given to the WWF thanks to her involvement.
Lauper was instrumental in converting WWF from a gritty New York wrestling territory to an over-the-top entertainment success. Had it not been for her, the WWE as we know it today may not even have existed.
While Muhammad Ali brought professional wrestling to the mainstream, Cyndi Lauper helped bring the WWE to the very pinnacle of pop culture.
