Daniel Bryan is a four-time world champion. He defeated Randy Orton and Batista to win the WWE world heavyweight title at Wrestlemania 30. A 2013 superstar of the year, Bryan headlined major events in several pay-per-views. He had a memorable championship match against John Cena at Summerslam in 2013.

In 2016, at only 34 years of age, he retired from professional wrestling due to medical issues arising from multiple concussions. In July of that year, he was named the General Manager of SmackDown following the return of WWE's brand extension. Daniel Bryan is a part of the cast of Total Divas spin off center around the Bella Twins,Total Bellas on the E! Network.
