Matt Hardy will finally have to retire due to injuries

Matt Hardy broke the shocking and upsetting news to his fans recently over Social Media, that he was finally retiring. He revealed that the back injury he had was severe and that his back was fused to his pelvis due to the years of abuse that he had put his body through.

The WWE Tag Team Legend is one performer who has done it all. He had a successful singles run, but one that did not see him as the main-event champion in the company.

During his time with the company, although he never reached the top level, he innovated the way that things were done in the company. He never got the chance to reach the top of the mountain, but together with his partner and brother, Jeff Hardy, and alongside The Dudley Boyz and Edge and Christian, he innovated TLC matches.

Later on, when his career seemed to be winding down, he came up with the Broken Gimmick in Impact, something that saw him return to WWE a year later at WrestleMania.

Matt Hardy is nothing less than a WWE legend and deserves to be recognised as such. Now that he is retiring, it is time that he was given the recognition he deserved as part of the WWE Hall of Fame.
