Big Show's Big KO: Best for business ?

When the biggest guy in the business gets bullied around by the bosses and acts like a wimp for most of the time you know an explosion is around the corner. Well that’s exactly what the Authority got when the WWE’s biggest athlete left Battleground, he left devastation in his wake.

Two refs knocked out, the Goat and Viper lifeless,the Game left fuming and the Giant not crying was not what most people expected as the WWE’s newest PPV ended, but that is what they got as the WWE title was left without a holder.

So what does the Big Show‘s big temper tantrum mean for the WWE -

1) The WWE title is still up for grabs at Hell in a Cell

A double knockout means that both Bryan and Orton can get up each other’s face yet again and this time they will have the time to really put on a show – inside Satan’s playground. Their match at Battleground despite their best efforts could not lift the crowd up from the mire that the previous matches had left Battleground in(The Hardcore match for the World Heavyweight title and that brilliant Cesaro swing being the exceptions). Also the match at Hell in a Cell has ensured that Bryan does not suffer the ignominy of losing the title for the second time after it was snatched away from his arms. At least not yet.

What does it do for Orton – well ever since he found his inner Viper again on Raw last Monday, Orton seems to have regained some of that nastiness that made him the WWE’s ‘Apex Predator’. It also unleashed that side of his personality which makes him so dangerous and unpredictable. The Double KO at Battleground has meant that he can move away from being Triple H and Stephanie’s – Sorry, The Authority’s favourite attack dog ( or is that ‘attack snake’) about all things Daniel Bryan and really get after ‘The Goat’ in the mad way that has made him what he is today.

2) The Authority has a Big Problem on their hands

The Big Show for months has been the big wuss of the WWE. The crybaby act from the Giant who has terrorised each and every wrestler inside the ring and outside it for over 18 years was one of the most idiotic gimmicks that has been seen in quite a long time.

The Authority apparently brought Big Show’s house (the big man is apparently broke) and thus forced the Giant to do whatever they wanted him to do. However, over the past few weeks Show had been slowly but surely getting madder by the moment at the Game(who is certainly not the guy who wears the pants in the Authority) and his drunk on power wife. The angry giant had been threatening to get his hands on the Game, KO-ing one of Triple H’s poster( getting Triple H’s new DVD some heavy handed publicity in the process).

However at Battleground when Triple H directed him to KO Bryan(yet again), the Big Show decided that he had enough. He KO’d the officiating referee and Bryan and then when Mr ‘Fast Count’ Scot Armstrong was released by Triple H to kill off the match, Big Show KO’d him too. That set off the Viper but Big Show knocked his fangs off as well leaving Triple H foaming at the mouth(nothing new there).

Now that he has declared himself, the Big Show can now set his eyes on the Big Prize – getting back his house and he will have the best opportunity to do that at Hell in a Cell. Whether or not he gets his hands on the Game will have to be seen, but only a mad man would want to be in his way now that his anger has been unleashed.

So what does all this mean for the WWE – well they can give the Hell in a Cell PPV the send-off that it deserves and they can also take the Authority storyline in different directions as well now that the Big Show can get back to what he does best – terrorise those who oppose him. So, was the KO best for business, the only answer is YES!
