Cheree Georgina Crowley, a professional wrestler, was born in New Zealand on May 6, 1988. She is now under contract with WWE, where she competes as Dakota Kai on SmackDown and is a member of Damage CTRL.

She and Iyo Sky had previously held two WWE Women's Tag Team Championships. She was also a two-time NXT Women's Tag Team Champion and is well-known for her time in NXT, where she won the inaugural Women's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

Crowley previously wrestled under the ring name Evie for the following promotions: Impact Pro Wrestling (IPW) in her home country of New Zealand, Pro Wrestling Women's Alliance (PWA) in Australia, Shine Wrestling and Shimmer Women Athletes in the United States, Pro Wrestling Zero1 in Japan, and World Wonder Ring Stardom in Japan.

Between 2007 and 2016, she spent the first nine years of her professional wrestling career working for independent promotions in Australia and New Zealand. She then spent three years, from 2013 to 2016, working in independent American promotions.

In her debut bout for the Japanese World Wonder Ring Stardom organization, she and Hiroyo Matsumoto and Kellie Skater won the Artist of Stardom Championship; however, Lo Shirai, Kairi Hojo, and Mayu Iwatani defeated them in February 2016.

She started her WWE career in 2015, making her debut on NXT, where she suffered a loss to Nia Jax. She subsequently moved on to Damage CTRL via SmackDown in 2022, where she still performs.

Yes, Dakota Kai do have tattoos, but the precise meaning of them is not clear. She has not explained any of them as of April 2024. However, she does let people know about her new tattoos through social media. In mid 2023, through her Twitch channel "Charliegirl,” she showed her then-new tattoo on her shoulder.

Together with Dakota Kai, Zelina Vega set a challenging goal for their YouTube channel, "ZELVX and CHARLIE GIRL," to get 15,000 subscribers signed up. After successfully completing this crucial milestone, both of them decided to celebrate in an unusual manner by getting matching tattoos.

Zelina Vega posted a video of the two documenting their tattoo experience on Instagram. They got some Pokémon ink, so their new tattoos perfectly reflected their personalities. Zelina Vega chose a Seel tattoo, while Dakota Kai chose a Vulpix tattoo to commemorate reaching the 15k subscriber milestone. Kai's love of Pokémon is evident from her early days in New Zealand in 2007, when she chose Evie as her first ringname in honor of her favorite Pokémon, Eevee.
