Cody Rhodes was quite busy at Bad Blood last weekend. First, he teamed up with his rival Roman Reigns to defeat Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu of The Bloodline. Then, he saw The Rock make his return to WWE after a six-month hiatus and stare down him and The Original Tribal Chief before leaving the stage.
Once Bad Blood was over, The American Nightmare had a backstage confrontation with Kevin Owens, with KO eventually assaulting him. It appears that the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion didn't suffer any injuries as a result of Owens' assault, but he was a 'little roughed up,' per Fightful Select.
The backstage incident, which went viral on social media, isn't expected to cost Cody Rhodes any time, and The American Nightmare is set to show up on SmackDown this Friday to address what happened at Bad Blood.
The Undisputed WWE Champion also showed up on RAW on Monday and had a brief face-off with the current World Heavyweight Champion Gunther ahead of their Crown Jewel Championship match on November 2 in Riyadh.

As for Kevin Owens, it is unclear what his next direction will be now that he has seemingly turned heel again, and whether he will target only Cody Rhodes or other faces on SmackDown too.
WWE officials satisfied with the reaction to Cody Rhodes/Kevin Owens parking lot brawl
WWE has yet to provide any footage or updates after the parking lot brawl between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens after the end of the Bad Blood Premium Live Event.
All the videos seen on social media so far are coming from the fans, with WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H saying that the company will deal with this issue internally.
Still, Fightful Select reported that WWE officials were satisfied with the outcome of the brawl and the fact that it quickly became viral, setting the stage for the feud between the two superstars.
It is unknown how the creative team will move forward with that and whether they will put the KO/Rhodes feud on hold for now, due to The Bloodline storyline, but The American Nightmare is set to shed more light on what is next for him when he appears on SmackDown this Friday night.
