On Saturday, October 5, 2024, WWE will present the Bad Blood Premium Live Event, with one of the marquee matches seeing arch-rivals CM Punk and Drew McIntyre face off in a Hell in a Cell match.

Both Punk and Drew are students of the pro wrestling game, with the pair having made tributes to stars of the past.

In the first match in their feud at SummerSlam this past August, the duo, alongside special guest referee, Seth Rollins looked to pay tribute to The Undertaker and Bret Hart's match at the same event in 1997, which also had Shawn Michaels as the match official.

At SummerSlam this year, Punk's attire resembled the black and pink of Hart, Drew wore a coat similar to The Deadman, and Seth Rollins went for an out-there referee's uniform as did HBK.

At Bad Blood, Punk and Drew may once again look to pay tribute to the past by recreating arguably the most iconic Hell in a Cell spot of all time which saw The Undertaker throw Mankind off the top of the cell.

Whilst who may take the bump remains to be seen, it would certainly be a great way to cap off one of the greatest WWE rivalries in recent memory.

Why did Drew McIntyre re-sign with WWE?

This past April, Drew McIntyre revealed that he had chosen to sign a new contract with World Wrestling Entertainment, ending months of speculation about his future.

During a recent interview with Bleacher Report, Drew stated that the way in which WWE officials Nick Khan and Triple H handled a deeply personal matter of his was key in his decision to stay.

"Thankfully, Nick Khan and Triple H are very understanding about the family aspect and what I need from the company right now, what I need for my family right now, and what I need perhaps outside projects, and we figured everything out," McIntyre said.

Having been a major part of WrestleMania this year, as well as briefly winning a world title and being involved in what many see as the feud of the year, 2024 has arguably been the best of Drew McIntyre's WWE career.
