WWE has a big weekend ahead. Following Friday Night SmackDown tonight, the Sports Entertainment Juggernaut will host the main roster's next premium live event Bad Blood 2024.
Bad Blood will be taking place live at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, and the card is looking stacked. Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes will unite to take on The Bloodline, two Women's World Title matches are booked, plus CM Punk and Drew McIntyre will battle inside Hell in a Cell.
That isn't all, however. A major grudge match is also booked for the PLE. Former Judgment Day member Damian Priest will take on a man he once called his brother, Finn Balor. This comes after Balor cost Damian the World Heavyweight Title at SummerSlam.
The bout will be particularly interesting, as the winner is hard to call. There are several potential ways the match could end and this article will break down a handful of the options, which could include Damian getting protected by a surprising name.
Former WWE writer buries Judgment Day HERE
Below are four possible finishes for Finn Balor vs. Damian Priest at WWE Bad Blood.
#4. Damian Priest could win clean at WWE Bad Blood
Damian Priest has had quite the run in WWE. While on NXT, Priest won the North American Championship. On the main roster, he is a multi-time Tag Team Champion, a former United States Champion, a former Money in the Bank winner, and was recently the World Heavyweight Champion.
The Archer of Infamy has leveled up quite a bit throughout his wrestling career and many believe he's doing better than ever before. As a result, he is a major threat to any WWE Superstar, even Finn Balor.
When Priest and Balor clash at Bad Blood, Damian may overwhelm The Prince with his size and power advantage. Given that he's also quick and nimble, Finn might be outmatched and could eventually eat a South of Heaven Chokeslam. From there, Damian could get the pinfall victory.
#3. Finn Balor could take advantage of Priest's injured ribs
Finn Balor has had quite the WWE career as well. On NXT, Finn won the NXT Championship twice. While on the main roster, he has held the Universal Title, the United States Title, and he's had two runs as the United States Champion.
On top of that, Balor is a three-time Tag Team Champion. He had two runs with Priest as his partner, but now he holds the World Tag Team Championship with his long-time friend and mentee JD McDonagh. Finn is a really good pro wrestler.
Part of being a good wrestler is being able to spot and exploit your opponent's weaknesses. Damian was showing a lot of trouble with his abs and midsection following The Judgment Day's attack on RAW. Come Bad Blood, The Prince could target that part of Damian's body. If he does, a Double Stomp to the gut could be enough to allow Balor to pin the former World Heavyweight Champion.
#2. The Judgment Day could interfere to help Finn stand tall
The Judgment Day has undergone many changes in WWE. The group was first created by Edge (aka Adam Copeland) back in early 2022. He quickly recruited Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley to the fold. The Hall of Famer was later booted in favor of Balor. Over time, JD McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio also joined.
Now, the group looks quite different once again. With Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest out, the current lineup of the group features Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, Liv Morgan, Carlito, and Dominik Mysterio. Together, the five WWE stars are quite formidable.
Unfortunately, this could be bad news for Priest at Bad Blood. With four other members around to potentially cheat, the likes of Liv and Dirty Dom could get involved and either cause a distraction or nail The Punisher with a title belt. If this happens, Balor will use his veteran instincts to pick up a quick victory, perhaps with a quick roll-up.
#1. Jey Uso and Bron Breakker could help Damian Priest at Bad Blood
If The Judgment Day does interfere, there are some names who could try to help The Punisher fight them off. The most obvious is Rhea Ripley, who will be wrestling Liv Morgan at WWE Bad Blood.
Another notable name is Jey Uso, who has recently formed a bond with The Terror Twins in WWE. If Jey Uso comes out for the save, however, so might Bron Breakker. The Big Bad Booty Nephew showed respect to Jey on RAW and seemingly turned babyface. With mutual respect, the two could work together.
If the pair runs out and saves the day, this would then allow for Priest and Balor to remain one-on-one. In that scenario, Damian will likely pin Finn in the ring while both Jey and Bron deliver brutal Spears to Judgment Day members on the floor.
