A former WWE Champion has now posted a reel and spoken up after being left out of SummerSlam. His intention seems clear at this time.

The Street Profits have not been seen as a top team in WWE for quite a while. Despite Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins having proven themselves in the past as an elite team, their booking has seen them fall short recently.

They were teamed with Bobby Lashley, and after he was sidelined with an injury, the two stars were seen doing less and less. Even when they got chances, they mostly lost. Ford is a three-time champion, having won the RAW, SmackDown, and NXT tag titles with Angelo Dawkins once each.

At SummerSlam this year, Montez Ford didn't compete. He was not featured on the card. Now, the star has sent a two-word message after being left off the card at what is usually considered to be one of the biggest shows of the year. In a reel where he's working out, he said, "Title mentality."

Clearly, the star has also noted his status in WWE and seems to be intent on getting a title push. It remains to be seen if that happens.

Montez Ford has not become a singles star yet in WWE

Montez Ford has always been in discussion as one of the next top stars for the company. Fans have seen him as a potential breakout talent when he becomes a singles star.

Despite this, he has never broken away from the Street Profits and has continued as a tag team star. On top of that, he's not even held the tag titles for some time now.

Whether the star will break away soon to start his singles push or not remains to be seen for the moment. He seems like he is intent on starting the next phase of his career.
