Up-and-coming star Tiffany Stratton is the new WWE Women's Champion. She won the title this week in a convoluted segment on SmackDown.

Pure drama unfolded on SmackDown this week as Ms. Money in the Bank Tiffany Stratton showed up during the closing stages of the Nia Jax vs. Naomi title match. Tiffany pretended to cash in on the champ before bashing Naomi with the case, allowing Jax to win. However, moments after the match ended, Stratton turned on Jax and smashed her with the briefcase. Bianca Belair then showed up and laid out Nia with a KOD. Stratton grabbed this opportunity and cashed in, becoming the new WWE Women's Champion.

After this week's SmackDown, Sportskeeda Senior Editor Bill Apter hoped Tiffany Stratton could have a major feud with Charlotte Flair, once she returns, for the WWE Women's Championship. The veteran journalist pointed out that a marquee matchup between Liv Morgan and Flair for the Women's World Title would also make for good television.

"With the imminent arrival of Charlotte Flair back in WWE, a feud with either Tiffany or Liv would be a feud to look forward to for sure," Apter said.

Charlotte's last match came on the December 8 episode of SmackDown, where she lost to Asuka in a one-on-one encounter.

It will be interesting to see who The Queen feuds with once she returns to the WWE main roster.
