WWE Superstar Trick Williams recently regained his NXT Championship. This week, his real-life partner is headed for a big title match as well. Interestingly, she will also be making her debut on SmackDown with this bout. Ahead of her special day, Trick Willy has sent a message to his real-life partner, Lash Legend.
The Meta Four member will join forces with her teammate Jakara Jackson to take on the Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill. The reigning champs offered the title shot to the NXT duo during their visit to the developmental brand this week in a backstage segment. Not missing the chance to hype Legend up, Trick Williams tweeted a picture with her on X and sent her a message.
“Shot out to the Legend making her Smackdown debut tonight 🙏🏾🙏🏾,” wrote Williams.

Along with this message, Williams also attended the SmackDown show in Greenville to support Legend. The couple is usually very low-key about their relationship and prefers to keep their love life private. This was one of the few occasions Williams and Legend showcased some romance publicly.
Interestingly, while The Boujee Bully will compete in a title match tonight, Williams will soon be getting a challenger for his gold as well.
Ava books a blockbuster number-one contender’s match to determine Trick Williams’ challenger
On this week’s episode of NXT, Trick Williams celebrated the beginning of his second title reign with the fans. As he addressed the crowd, he acknowledged that everyone in the developmental brand’s locker room would be gunning for him now. Almost as soon as he said this, Wes Lee spoke up and the cameras showed he was standing with the spectators in St. Louis.
The former NXT North American Champion said that while Williams may have won the title once again, he wasn’t the guy meant to be holding it. Later in the show, Ethan Page barged in and canceled Sexyy Red’s concert to demand a title rematch from Ava.
While the NXT General Manager already had two wrestlers wanting a title shot, she later added Je’Von Evans to the mix as well. Notably, the Young OG impressed her with his performance in a big main event match against Randy Orton. Thus, while the highflier lost his bout, he now has a potential title shot on his hands.
Unlike last time, Trick Williams won’t be entering a Fatal Four-Way and have a chance to lose his title without getting pinned or submitted. It would be interesting to see who emerges as his challenger and whether Williams will be able to win his first championship defense.
