Former WWE Superstar Matt Hardy has shared his opinion on a major feud that will potentially end at Bad Blood tonight. He believes that the wrestling world is emotionally invested in the heated storyline involving Drew McIntyre and CM Punk.
The Best in the World's return to the Stamford-based promotion in 2023 didn't sit well with The Scottish Warrior. It all started when Punk got injured during the Men's Royal Rumble Match, earlier this year. McIntyre took credit for it, also saying he had prayed for it to happen.
While The Second City Saint was sidelined with the injury, he ensured that The Scottish Warrior never got too close to the world title, repeatedly crushing his dreams. After receiving medical clearance to return to the ring, Drew McIntyre defeated CM Punk at SummerSlam. To even the scores, the 45-year-old emerged victorious over McIntyre at Bash in Berlin in a Strap Match.
The rivalry between the two has escalated far beyond professional boundaries, becoming a deeply personal, mentally, physically, and emotionally draining ordeal. Tonight at WWE Bad Blood, The Scottish Warrior and The Voice of The Voiceless will lock horns inside a Hell in a Cell Match to hopefully put an end to this feud.

Speaking on his The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, the 50-year-old WWE legend shared he was impressed with CM Punk and Drew McIntyre's program. Hardy expects the brutal Hell in a Cell Match to be extraordinary due to the audience's emotional investment.
"What a great program that Punk and Drew had. It's been so good, it's had extremely entertaining TV, the social media stuff has been great. People are invested in it and they're excited for this blowoff match. I expect it to be great, people are emotionally involved," he said. [From 09:35 to 09:53]

Matt Hardy gives his take on the match between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk at WWE Bad Blood
On the same episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, the former United States Champion was asked if a loss to CM Punk at Bad Blood would negatively impact Drew McIntyre's career.
The WWE veteran noted that he believed that a heel could afford to be vanquished more easily than a babyface. Matt Hardy argued that a heel's character allowed them to maintain their villainous image even after a good defeat, while the face is expected to be the all-conquering savior and cannot afford too many losses.
"When you're the heel, it's okay to lose sometimes. I don't think he would be hurt. It's different if you're a baby face and people are really buying into you as their hero and savior. If you're the scummy heel, you can get away with a good loss," he added. [From 10:02 to 10:17]
The WWE Universe will be on the edge of their seats tonight to see who will emerge victorious in the potentially final chapter between The Scottish Warrior and The Straight Edge Superstar, which is set to open the premium live event.
