A WWE legend has opened up on his status with the company. He's also spoken about how he's not a part of the Hall of Fame yet.
Lex Luger is a former Royal Rumble winner in WWE, as well as a 2-time World Heavyweight Champion during his time in WCW. The star was one of the biggest attractions during his time in the company and received an enormous push.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Lex Luger confessed that he'd be very open to the idea of being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. He was very happy to be in the reckoning for a Hall of Fame induction.
"Ooh, I'd love to be, absolutely." (17:55 - 17:58)
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
When asked if he had thoughts on why it had not happened already given the magnitude of his career, Luger went on to say that he felt that WWE had a way of doing things that no one else was aware of. He felt that they would have a formula or timing behind their reasoning for Hall of Fame inductions happening when they did. He said that he was very optimistic that he would eventually be in the hallowed halls.
"I’m very optimistic, and I just think they have a way of doing it that I don’t think any of us are totally aware of. A formula, timing, all that. So, I’m very optimistic that eventually, I’ll be in. I really, really am.” (18:19 - 18:35)
WWE inducted Paul Heyman into the Hall of Fame this year
In recent years, the company has broken away from its usual process and how they do things.
Rey Mysterio and Paul Heyman are two of the most recent inductees into the Hall of Fame. Neither star is retired yet and is very much a part of proceedings in the company at this time. Usually, it's a star who has finished up their career who gets inducted.
Heyman's induction in 2024 came on the back of fans already getting ready for a massive year for The Bloodline, with them getting The Rock back as an official part of the faction.
