WWE's most recent signing, Stephanie Vaquer, has already made a name for herself outside the company, and she is now set to face NXT's roster. Interestingly, the former NJPW Strong Women's Champion could immediately target the division's top star.

On July 10, 2024, Shawn Michaels announced that Stephanie Vaquer had signed with WWE, and the company didn't waste time showcasing her as one of its must-see stars. On July 13, during the Stamford-based promotion's live event in Mexico City, the 31-year-old made her WWE in-ring debut and defeated Isla Dawn in a singles match.

Following her impressive victory, Stephanie announced on social media that she was set to join NXT, where she could meet the brand's champion, Roxanne Perez.

On this week's NXT episode, Roxanne is set to address the crowd, possibly introducing her new challenger for the title after defeating Lola Vice at Heatwave. However, this could also be an opening for Stephanie to make her presence felt by possibly attacking the champion from behind or simply interrupting Perez's promo.

It has been noticeable that since Perez turned heel, her in-ring style has become vicious and unforgiving. It was previously reported by Fightful Select that this change is to prepare her for her future match with Giulia, who is also known for her physical in-ring style.

Stephanie could be one of the biggest names Roxanne could face in the company, which could elevate her status as NXT Women's Champion. Meanwhile, Vaquer could immediately prove to the WWE Universe she is championship material.

While talking to Mexican outlet ESTO, Dominik Mysterio praised the recently signed star and expressed his excitement to see her. The former NXT North American Champion even mentioned that she could join The Judgment Day if she wanted. Interestingly, she also had a warm meeting with Damian Priest.

"She's [Stephanie Vaquer] going to bring something different to this side of the United States; I'm excited to see her. If she wants, she can have something with The Judgment Day; there are two Irish, two Puerto Ricans, and we hire someone else who comes from Mexico,” he said.

Vaquer later posted Dominik's interview on her Twitter (X) account and seemingly expressed her interest in joining the RAW faction.
