Larry Henning was the father of "Mr. Perfect" (birth name: Curt Michael Hennig). He worked in the American Wrestling Association, National Wrestling Alliance, the World Wide Wrestling Federation, American Wrestling Association, International Wrestling Enterprise, and Pacific Northwest Wrestling.


Hennig was known by the moniker, "The Axe". This nickname he had due to his mark, frequently completing moves of dropping a full-weight elbow onto his rivals. He was enlisted into the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in the year 2017. Larry Henning died on 6 December 2018 due to kidney failure at the age of 82.
