Joe Hendry has been at the forefront of WWE's collaboration with TNA, and it looks like he has reaped rich rewards following the association. The Scottish star's most recent appearance was last night, July 31, on the developmental brand, where he held a music concert.

However, the 36-year-old TNA star isn't a WWE employee and appears in NXT thanks to the growing relationship between the two companies. He alluded to this in an interview with Matt Camp on The Wrestling Matt.

"TNA Wresting have worked it out with WWE where I can appear on TNA Wrestling as a contracted talent, I can appear on NXT, and I can train at the Performance Center full-time and do indies and do signings. This is unprecedented." [H/T - Fightful Select]

Joe Hendry has started a feud with fellow countryman Joe Coffey of Gallus in NXT. The faction brutally attacked the popular Scot after he mocked them during his concert last night. He will have his first singles match in NXT next week when he faces Coffey on Night Two of NXT's Great American Bash.

The longest-reigning TNA Digital Media Champion has been preparing for his NXT debut at the Performance Center, the Stamford-based promotion's training facility. He'll undoubtedly have trained with more experienced talent in preparation for his match and getting to grips with the WWE style.

The two companies' collaboration started in May and has been successful for all parties involved so far. NXT talent has rocked up on TNA, such as Tatum Paxley, who lost to Jordynne Grace for the TNA Knockout's World Championship.

Will Joe Hendry appear on WWE's main roster?

The collaboration hasn't extended beyond TNA talent appearing on NXT. Joe Hendry, The Rascalz, Jordynne Grace, and Frankie Kazarian have all appeared on the developmental brand.

The new partnership has not resulted in TNA stars appearing on either RAW or SmackDown yet. Jordynne Grace participated in the 2024 Women's Royal Rumble Match and even challenged Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women's Title but hasn't appeared on RAW or SmackDown yet.

However, Joe Hendry has been a massive draw in terms of viewership numbers on social media. His debut on NXT where he entered a Battle Royal as the final participant stands at a remarkable 18.2 million views on X/Twitter.

Those numbers are going to make it difficult for WWE's higher-ups to resist propelling Hendry into the limelight of the main roster. There are endless possibilities for him, including money feuds with LA Knight and Drew McIntyre. While many feel it's only a matter of time before Hendry possibly signs with the Stamford-based promotion, the star is still signed with TNA Wrestling.
