Malenko made his debut in professional wrestling at 34. He formed a group called Triple Threat along with Chris Benoit and Shane Douglas and won the ECW Tag Team Championship. Later that year, he also won over Eddie Guerrero to become ECW Television Champion.
Malenko joined WCW as a villain where he defeated Brad Armstrong and Rey Mysterio. WWF hired him in 2000 where he became a major face in the light heavyweight division. He won 11 titles in WCW, WWF, and ECW. Pro Wrestling Illustrated ranked him #1 wrestler in the world in 1999. These achievements demand his induction in the Hall of Fame.
