What's the story?
WWE Superstar Ali's wife was recently slammed by a fan on Instagram, for wearing a veil at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony.
Ali responded with a wholesome reply to the hate-filled troll, stating that there's "nothing more American than being allowed to freely practice your religion".
In case you didn't know. . .
Ali has consistently been one of the better performers on the blue brand, ever since he switched to Tuesday nights from 205 Live.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Ali is known for being one of the nicest guys in the locker room, and his past Twitter altercations with fans have done nothing but cement that fact.
A while ago, when asked whether he would allow his daughter to become a wrestler when she grows up, Ali stated that no one has a right to dictate someone when it comes to following their dreams.
The heart of the matter
Ali attended this year's WWE Hall of Fame ceremony with his wife, who wore a veil over her head. When Ali posted the photo on Twitter, a fan responded to the post by attacking his wife and stating that "she should remove the head gear and be a true woman".
Ali was quick to respond to the fan, but unlike anyone else, he handled the situation with the utmost class. The former 205 Live Superstar answered by saying that being able to freely practice one's religion is an American thing, addressing the fan as a friend.
What's next?
Ali is steadily climbing the ranks on SmackDown Live and has a bright future ahead as a mainstay in WWE. After the latest edition of SmackDown, it seems like Ali will go on to feud with Randy Orton.
