American professional wrestler Anna Marie Jernigan, better known by her ring name Anna Jay, was born on July 15, 1998. She has an All Elite Wrestling (AEW) contract. During July of 2018, Jay began his training at One Fall Power Factory. Jay sustained a shoulder injury during training in April 2019 that necessitated surgery, keeping her out of commission for four to six months. (She took another 6- to 12-month break in February 2021 because of a shoulder injury.)
Jay debuted on September 14, 2019, at Glacier's charity event, "The Battle of Altama." In a hair-versus-hair fight at a Georgia Premier Wrestling event in January 2020, Jay triumphed over Thunder Blonde. In April 2020, Jay made her debut in All Elite Wrestling (AEW), losing to Hikaru Shida in the Dynamite singles match. That same month, it was stated that she had signed a contract with the business.
She was assisted backstage by The Dark Order after losing to Abadon on the June 17 episode of “Dynamite.” In the AEW Women's Tag Team Cup Tournament: The Deadly Draw, Jay and Tay Conti were paired together. They defeated Nyla Rose and Ariane Andrew to go to the quarterfinals, but they were defeated by Ivelisse and Diamante in the semifinals.
In addition, she would go by her previous name but also take on the new ring name Anna Jay A.S. in honor of her new stable. For the remainder of 2022 and the first part of 2023, Jay and Melo would continue their feud with Soho. On the December 28 episode of “Dynamite,” they defeated Soho and Willow Nightingale in a tag match, and on the January 11, 2023, episode of “Rampage,” Soho and Nightingale defeated them in a street fight.
Jay reappeared on the “Rampage “episode of March 25, 2023, after a two-month hiatus, and attacked Julia Hart. Two weeks later, on the same show, a match was scheduled, and Hart prevailed after dousing Jay's eyes with black mist. Jay and Hart would rematch on the May 10 episode of “Dynamite” following a string of post-match attacks, with Hart coming out on top once more. Jay participated in the Owen Hart Foundation Women's Tournament and lost to Skye Blue in the quarterfinals on the June 23 episode of “Rampage.”
