Monty Sopp, popularly known as Billy Gunn, is an American professional wrestler and trainer who was born on November 1, 1963. He is presently a member of The Acclaimed, along with Max Caster and Anthony Bowens. The trio is the current AEW World Trios Champions. Gunn was formerly well-known for his time in the WWF/E from 1993 to 2004 and again from 2012 to 2015. He also worked as a trainer on NXT and as a coach on WWE's Tough Enough. He also wrestled for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling from 2005 to 2009.

Gunn typically wrestles in tag teams and has won 11 WWE tag team championships with three different partners: Road Dogg as The New Age Outlaws, Bart Gunn as The Smoking Gunns, and Chuck Palumbo as Billy and Chuck. He has also won two WWF Hardcore titles and one WWF Intercontinental title, giving him a total of 14 WWE championships. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2019 after winning the 1999 King of the Rings tournament and being a member of D-Generation X.

The Gunn Club (Colten Gunn, Austin Gunn, and Billy Gunn) came to an end on the August 17, 2022, episode of “Dynamite” when both of his kids defected and teamed up with Stokely Hathaway. Gunn would get help from The Acclaimed (Max Caster and Anthony Bowens), and he would take charge of the two. While Gunn was paired with the Acclaimed, Bowens gave him the nickname "Daddy Ass" as a tribute to his 1999 WWF "Mr. Ass" persona.

The Acclaimed defeated Swerve in Our Glory (Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee) on September 21, 2022, at “Dynamite: Grand Slam,” to win the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

Gunn and The Acclaimed defeated The House of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King, and Buddy Matthews) in a "House Rules" No Holds Barred six-man tag team match on August 27, 2023, at All In.
