Miro

Miro is a Bulgarian professional wrestler currently working with All Elite Wrestling. His real name is Miroslav Petrov Barnyashev and is most popularly known for working with WWE under the name Rusev. He is the first and, to date, the only Bulgarian wrestler to work with WWE. He is a three-time WWE United States Champion and a one-time AEW TNT Champion.

He was born on December 25, 1985 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. While growing up, he attended a sports school and took part in rowing, powerlifting, and sambo. Eventually, he decided to pursue a career in professional wrestling. He moved to Virginia, USA before flying to Torrance, California. There, he trained under the guidance of WWE Legends such as Gangrel and Rikishi. Miro made his pro-wrestling debut in 2008 in New Wave Pro Wrestling.

In 2010, he was signed by WWE under FCW, which was at the time its developmental territory. He was then given the name Alexander Rusev. In 2012, FCW was disbanded and the seasonal TV show NXT was rebranded into the new territory, where Rusev started performing. He then took Lana by his side and made his main roster debut in 2014. For about a year, he went undefeated. He was the last man to be eliminated from the 2015 Royal Rumble match and also became the US Champion during the time.

His win streak would come to an end at the hands of John Cena. Over the next years of his WWE career, Rusev won the title two more times before being released by the company in 2020. Later that year, he joined All Elite Wrestling as Miro and soon won the AEW TNT Championship. He held the gold for 140 days and lost it to Sammy Guevara. Since then, Miro has been a part of sporadic feuds.

How long is Miro’s contract with AEW?

As per Fightful Select, Miro has signed a contract with All Elite Wrestling which makes him a member of the roster for at least until early 2026. The wrestler joined the company in 2020 and then re-signed a contract in 2022. This renewal was certainly a longer one as it bonded the two parties in a four-year contract, which is a long time in the world of professional wrestling.

How much does Miro earn from AEW?

As per numerous sources, Miro earned a sum of at least $250,000 from AEW in 2021. However, his latest salary after the 2022 contract renewal is not made public to the fans. As the contract was renewed for a reported four years, the salary can be expected to have been increased by quite a significant amount.

What is Miro Net Worth

As per various sources, Miro is worth around at least $2 Million as of December 2023. His net worth can be credited to the earnings he has made during his time with WWE and now in AEW. As both Rusev and Miro, he has been one of the biggest names in the world of squared circle going head to head against the likes of John Cena, The Undertaker and more.
