Fred Kerley is a professional track and field sprinter coached by an American former athlete, and two-time gold medalist, Quincy Watts. He made his first appearance in an international competition in 2017 at the World Athletics Championships in London, UK, where he helped his relay team finish with a Silver medal in the 4x400-meter relay. In 2018, he competed in the World Indoor Athletics Championships and earned a Silver medal with the US relay team in the 4x400-meter relay event.
