Free-agent third baseman Alex Bregman and wife Reagan are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the newest member of their family. Such is their happiness that Reagan posted a selfie showing off an adorable baby bump for followers and fans to see on Instagram.

Alex Bregman and wife Reagan welcomed their first child in August 2022. A healthy baby boy followed the Bregman’s nuptials in December of 2020. The family makes their home in Houston.

With Bregman a free agent this winter, it remains to be seen if a return to the Houston Astros is on the horizon. In the meantime, the Bregman family is eagerly awaiting the arrival of their second child.

There is no word yet on whether the Bregmans are expecting a boy or a girl. In the meantime, the family is enjoying every step of Reagan’s pregnancy.

Reagan and Alex Bregman’s road to family bliss

People magazine ran a piece on Reagan Bregman in June 2023 chronicling how the couple got engaged, wed and welcomed their first child.

In the piece, Reagan was quoted as saying:

"I love Alex's heart and how he'd give the shirt off his back to anyone.”

The comments were featured on "The Knot" in 2021 and detailed how Reagan felt about her beloved husband.

"He makes everyone feel included and happy — that's admirable and hard to find," Reagan said.

Reagan, a Louisiana native, detailed how she met Alex Bregman, who is from New Mexico but starred at LSU, through a friend. Reagan’s friend was dating one of Alex’s friends. Before long, Reagan and Alex were introduced to one another.

Their relationship started as a long-distance courtship. Things were especially complicated during the baseball season. Reagan had to drive long distances to see Alex.

"She was driving back and forth every weekend, three hours there and back, waking up at 5 am to get to work," Bregman said. "She was working her tail off and coming to see me."

The couple married in 2020 amid the COVID pandemic. However, the pandemic did not stop them from vowing to love one another for the rest of their lives. The wedding, while intimate given restrictions, was no less meaningful to the loved ones in attendance.

With Alex a free agent this offseason, it remains to be seen what will become the next step on the journey for the Bregmans.
