Alexander David Bregman is a professional baseball third baseman and shortstop. He is also known by his nickname ‘‘A-Breg’’. He plays for the Houston Astros in Major League Baseball (MLB). He was selected in the MLB draft in 2015 in the first round by the Houston Astros and he was the 2nd overall pick.

Bregman was born on March 30, 1994, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, U.S. After attending Albuquerque Academy and getting his high school degree. He was chosen in the 2012 MLB draft by the Boston Red Sox but chose to attend college. He attended Louisiana State University and played baseball for the LSU Tigers. He made his MLB debut on July 25, 2016 for the Houston Astros.
