Nicholas Alexander Castellanos, also known by his nickname, ‘Artist’, is an American professional baseball player. He currently plays as a third baseman and right fielder for the Philadelphia Phillies in Major League Baseball (MLB). He was born on March 4, 1992, in Davie, Florida, U.S.


Castellanos attended American Heritage School in Plantation, Florida. He also attended the Archbishop McCarthy High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In both the schools, he played and was a highly acclaimed player. He was named Gatorade Player of the year in his senior year. He was selected in the 2010 Major League drafts by the Detroit Tigers. He was selected in the second round and was the 44th overall pick. He was assigned to the minor league teams and made mis Major League debut in 2013 with the Tigers.


He is a two-time All-Star and won the Silver Slugger Award in 2021. Castellanos was on the All-MLB Second Team in 2021 and was the AL triples leader in 2017. He was on the United States national baseball team and played in the 2009 Pan American Junior Championships.
