Hailing from Tampa, Florida, United States, Peter Morgan Alonso has been a member of the New York Mets since his MLB debut on March 28, 2019. Known by his nickname, “Polar Bear” he was a college baseball player at the University of Florida for the Florida Gators. He has also played in the Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL) for the Bourne Braves in 2015.

Pete Alonso was chosen by the New York Mets in the 2nd round of the 2016 MLB Draft as the 64th overall pick. Since his MLB debut. Pete Alonso has become an integral part of the New York Mets team. He has earned four NL All-Star Awards from four MLB All-Star games. Moreover, he was the Jackie Robinson NL Rookie of the Year as well as the NL home run leader with 53 home runs in 2019. Hand Injury

Pete Alonso suffered from a hand injury on May 21, 2021, notably his first one in MLB. Earlier, he was struck by a fastball on May 5, 2021, and was in pain as per Northjersey.com. However, he continued playing while also undergoing treatment for the same. Unfortunately, it was found that he had suffered a right-hand sprain and he had to be put on the 10-day injured list by the team. However, he was reactivated on May 31, 2021, as per the MLB official site.

Wrist Injury

Pete Alonso suffered from a wrist injury on June 7, 2023, as per Fox Sports. He was hit by a fastball. It was found that he had suffered from a left wrist bone bruise and sprain from the incident. He has to be placed on the 10-day injured list on June 9, 2023. It was believed at the time that he would be out for three to four weeks while recovering. However, the New York Mets reactivated him from the 10-day injured list on June 18, 2024, as per the MLB official site.

Hand Injury

Pete Alonso suffered from a hand injury on May 29, 2024, as per Fox Sports. He was hit by a 93 mph fastball from James Paxton as per the MLB official site. Fortunately, it was found that there were no serious injuries after he underwent X-rays, a CT scan and a bone scan as per the MLB official site.
