A well-run front office led by Pat Riley, a good coaching staff headed by Erik Spoelstra and South Beach have all made the Miami Heat a desirable landing spot for top players in recent years. LeBron James' tenure down south accentuated the Heat even further. There's the much-hyped Heat Culture as well, with current players Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo being its flag bearers.
Heat Trade Rumors 2021
After missing out on the opportunity to trade for James Harden last season, the Miami Heat were hoping for another superstar to become available entering the 2021 NBA offseason. No developments occurred towards that end and they chose to acquire veteran point guard Kyle Lowry in a sign-and-trade from the Toronto Raptors.
Heat Free Agency Rumors 2021
Much of the Miami Heat's cap structuring work last season last year was done keeping the potential availability of Giannis Antetokounmpo in mind. The Greek Freak would end up signing a max extension, so the Heat started looking elsewhere. They eventually used their cap space for the aforementioned Lowry deal. They also landed 3-and-D forward PJ Tucker on a two-year deal in addition to re-signing sharpshooter Duncan Robinson to a five-year $90 million contract.
