Paul Millsap: A Brief Biography
Paul Millsap is an American professional basketball player who plays as a power forward for the Denver Nuggets of the NBA. He played college basketball at Louisiana Tech University. His brother, Elijah, is also a professional basketball player. Millsap is a 4-time NBA All-Star. He was inducted in Louisiana Tech University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2011.
Millsap was drafted with the 47th pick in the 2006 NBA draft by the Utah Jazz and was named in NBA All-Rookie Second Team. He played in all 82 games for two consecutive years till his sophomore season in the league. After Carlos Boozer joined the Chicago Bulls, Millsap was promoted to starting power forward in 2010. Millsap scored a career-high 46 points against the Miami Heat on November 9, 2010. He signed with the Atlanta Hawks in the summer of 2013. Millsap was selected as an all-star for the first time in 2013.
During game 4 of round one of the 2016 NBA playoffs, Millsap scored 45 points with 13 rebounds against the Boston Celtics. Millsap signed a three-year $90 million deal with the Denver Nuggets. He made his debut for the Nuggets against his former team the Utah Jazz. During the 2017-18 season, he missed around 3 months of action due to a left wrist injury.
