In the 2023 NBA Draft, one of the names that stood out was Trayce Jackson-Davis. For those who are not familiar with this name, here is a brief introduction about him. Trayce was born on February 22, 2000, and is currently 23 years old. The 6 foot 9 inch, 245 lbs power forward can play as a center as well.

Jackson-Davis completed his high school education at Center Grove High School in Greenwood, Indiana. Along with his academics, he was a member of their basketball team flourishing especially in his junior and senior years. Putting up terrific numbers such as 20 plus points, 9 plus rebounds, close to 3 blocks, and 2 assists per game in both years combined, he led his team to multiple 20-win seasons. In January 2019, Trayce was selected to play in the McDonald's All-American game which is the high school All-Star game.

Although his numbers dipped a bit in college, he has still put in some great performances. His best year for the Indiana Hoosiers came in 2023 which was his senior year. He averaged 20.9 points and 10.8 rebounds per game. Along the way, Jackson-Davis garnered some attention nationally and also became part of the consensus first-team All-American while receiving the Karl Malone Award.

Jackson-Davis is seen as a big athletic power forward for his size. He has the ability to get up and down the floor at a quick pace and can finish at the rim. He can also throw down some monster dunks. His athletic ability is a plus on the defensive end as well which can be seen from his 2.9 blocks per game average in his final year of college. However, he still needs to learn how to finish with his right hand and also needs to improve his jump shot.
