Close went on to spend seven seasons as an associate head coach with the Seminoles and the program ranked in the Top 30 nationally in scoring and three-point field goal percentage in her last two seasons in Florida. She returned to Westwood in 2011 and earned her first head coaching role at UCLA. Close helped the program to its first WNIT Championship in the program’s history in 2015.
