Eric Musselman’s Salary

Eric Musselman’s Contract
Eric Musselman agreed to a $2.5 million-a-year contract with Arkansas that was supposed to run through the 2023–24 season. But his contract was extended in 2021, increasing his salary to $4 million-a-year, until the 2025-26 season.
In addition to his annual salary, he is entitled to a $100,000 raise every year for up to six NCAA tournament appearances. He can choose to extend the deal for the Razorbacks' next two NCAA Tournament appearances by one season each.
If Musselman is fired during the term for convenience, the UA will be obligated to pay him 70% of his remaining salary. If Musselman accepted a position at his alma mater, the University of San Diego, after April 2024, he wouldn't be obligated to pay a buyout.
If Musselman accepted a new position before the 2021–2022 season ended, he would be obligated to pay the UA $7.5 million. Through the 2023–2024 season, $1 million through the 2024–2025 season, and $750,000 until the conclusion of the contract—including any seasons earned as extensions beyond 2025–2026—that buyout drops to $2 million.
