The Gonzaga basketball team, known as the Gonzaga Bulldogs, represents the Gonzaga University in intercollegiate men's basketball. The basketball program was established in the 1907-1908 basketball season, although initially, there was no coach. George Varnell became the first head coach of the Gonzaga basketball program, serving as the head coach for one season in 1908-1909.

Since its establishment, they have appeared in 25 NCAA tournaments and have made eight appearances in the Sweet 16 as of 2024. The Gonzaga basketball program competes in the West Coast Conference.

Mark Few is the head coach of the Gonzaga Bulldogs men's basketball team as of 2024. He has been a part of Gonzaga's coaching staff since 1989 when he first joined as a graduate assistant for the basketball program.

In 1990, his role was changed to assistant coach, and he was promoted to head coach in 1999. Since then, Mark Few has been the head coach of the Gonzaga Bulldogs men's basketball team and has served for more than 24 years and counting, as of 2024.

Throughout his tenure as head coach, Mark Few has led his teams to several achievements like they have won a share of 22 West Coast Conference (WCC) regular season titles and 19 WCC tournament titles. They have participated in the National Championship game twice, in 2017 and 2021. Mark Few has received the WCC Coach of the Year award 14 times. In addition, he has been awarded the NABC Coach of the Year and Naismith Coach of the Year twice, in 2017 and 2021.

Assistant Coach

Brian Michaelson, R-Jay Barsh, Stephen Gentry, Zach Norvell Jr., and Jorge Sanz are the assistant coaches of the Gonzaga Bulldogs men's basketball team as of 2024.

Brian Michaelson joined the Gonzaga coaching staff in 2008 as an Administrative Assistant. In 2011, his role changed to Assistant Director of Basketball Operations, and in 2013, he became an Assistant Coach.

R-Jay Barsh joined the Gonzaga men's basketball staff in April 2023. Prior to that, he was the assistant coach of the Florida State basketball team.

Stephen Gentry was announced as the assistant coach of the Gonzaga Bulldogs men's basketball team on May 24, 2021. Before that, he was the assistant coach at Illinois.

Zach Norvell Jr. is a former professional basketball player who played for the Gonzaga Bulldogs men's basketball team from 2017 to 2019. He joined as an assistant coach at Gonzaga in 2022-2023.
