Maddie Scherr is a collegiate basketball guard for the TCU Horned Frogs basketball team in the Big-12 Conference. According to the ESPNW Top-100 rankings, Scherr was the 19th-ranked recruit in the country's class of 2020. During her final two seasons at Ryle High School, she was named the Kentucky Gatorade State player of the year and was selected as a McDonald's all-American and Jordan Brand Classic as a senior.
Scherr started her collegiate career with the Oregon Ducks in 2021. She started four games as a freshman and 28 games as a sophomore. She then transferred to Kentucky Wildcats for the next two seasons before joining TCU Horned Frogs this season. Scherr was listed on the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll for 2022–2023 and the SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll for 2023–2024.
