The Texas Christian University (TCU) basketball team is known as the TCU Horned Frogs. They have been competing in the Big-12 Conference since 2012. Prior to that, they were a part of the Mountain West Conference from 2005 to 2012. The Horned Frogs appeared in ten NCAA tournaments and their record is 7-11, as of November 2024.
The TCU Horned Frogs have appeared in eight National Invitation Tournaments (NIT) and hold a record of 17-7, as of November 2024. The team won the NIT championship in 2017, winning in all five rounds of the tournament. The TCU Horned Frogs play their home games at the Ed & Rae Schollmaier Arena, which was previously known as the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. This arena is located on the TCU campus.

Jamie Dixon has been the head coach of the TCU Horned Frogs men's basketball teams since 2016. On March 21, 2016, Dixon accepted the head coaching position at the TCU basketball team. Under his leadership, the school reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 20 years during the 2019-2020 season. As of November 2024, Dixon coached them to their third straight 20-win season.
Before joining TCU, Dixon was the head coach of the Pittsburgh Panthers men's basketball team from 2003 to 2016. Prior to his head coaching position, he served as the assistant coach of the team from 1999 to 2013. He was named the 2009 USA Basketball National Coach of the Year, as he was the head coach for the FIBA Under-19 2009 gold-medal winning United States national basketball team.

Associate Head Coach
Tony Benford holds the position of Associate Head Coach for the TCU Horned Frogs men's basketball team, as of November 2024. He initially joined the team in 2019 as an assistant coach and was later promoted to the role of Associate Head Coach.
Before joining the TCU Horned Frogs, Tony served as the Associate Head Coach for the LSU Tigers men's basketball team from 2017 to 2019. He also served as the head coach of North Texas Mean Green men's basketball team from 2012 to 2017.
Prior to his coaching roles, Tony also had a career as a player. He played collegiately at Texas Tech and led the Red Raiders to Southwest Conference regular-season and tournament titles in 1985, as well as their SWC Tournament championship in 1986.
Assistant Coach
As of November 2024, Duane Broussard, Jamie McNeilly, Corey Santee, and Michael Rice are the assistant coaches of the TCU Horned Frogs men's basketball team. Duane Broussard joined the team in 2019 as an assistant coach, and in his first season at TCU in 2019-20, Broussard played a role in helping TCU secure a win over No. 2 Baylor, which was the highest-ranked home win in the history of the program.
Jamie Mcneilly joined the team as an assistant coach in 2021. Prior to joining TCU, McNeilly served as an associate head coach at Texas A&M for two seasons (2019-21).
Corey Santee holds the position of Assistant Coach/Player Development within the team. In his role, Santee helps bridge the gap between the players and the head coach, Jamie Dixon. He is also involved in game planning and scouting reports alongside the assistant coaches.
Michael Rice serves as an Assistant Coach/Scouting and Analytics and is responsible for providing the program with detailed analysis for potential recruits, existing players, and opponents.
