Steve Sarkisian is the Head Coach of the Texas Longhorns, as of January 2025. Prior to the Longhorns, Sarkisian served as the head coach of the Washington Huskies from 2009 to 2013. He was the Head Coach of the USC Trojans from 2014 to 2015. He took over his third stint as the head coach on January 2, 2021, and is in his fourth season with the Texas Longhorns, as of 2024-25.
Steve Sarkisian is both, a former college and a professional football player. He represented El Camino College and the BYU Cougars from 1995 to 1996. Professionally he played for Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL) from 1997 to 1999. Since taking over coaching duties, Steve Sarkisian won the Broyles Award in 2020. He was named the AP Big 12 Coach of the Year and won the Big 12 title in 2023.
