The Indian Premier League (IPL) began in 2008 and has showcased some of the biggest sixes in cricket. The ability to hit massive sixes is one of the most thrilling aspects of cricket, especially in the T20 format. Some of the longest sixes in international cricket history include Shahid Afridi's record 153-meter six against South Africa in 2013 and Brett Lee’s 130-meter strike against England in 2005.
In the IPL, Albie Morkel holds the record for the longest six in IPL history. While playing for the Chennai Super Kings in 2008, he hit a 125-meter six off Pragyan Ojha of Deccan Chargers. This remains the longest six in the tournament. Over the years, many have come close, but Morkel's 125-meter strike continues to stand as the longest six in IPL history.
