The 2024 3M Open is set to be played at the TPC Twin Cities course in Blaine, Minnesota from July 25 to 28. A strong 156 player field will be battling it out for a slice of the $8.1 million purse prize and 500 FedEx Cup points.

With the 3M Open being the penultimate event prior to the FedEx Cup Playoffs, the golfers involved will be eager to win this week and gain a boost in the rankings. With no player having won the tournament twice in their career, Lee Hodges is set to defend his title. The American earned his maiden title on the PGA Tour during the 2023 edition of the tournament with an impressive 24 under par 260 score. His win made him the first player in the Tour's history to win by a margin of seven strokes or greater since 2020.

2022 champion Tony Finau will also seek to earn his second 3M Open title this week. The six-time PGA Tour winner won by three strokes two years ago after starting the final round five strokes behind leader, Scott Piercy. Finau carded in a four day score of 17 under par 267.

Also in the field this year is Cameron Champ, who emerged victorious at the 2021 3M Open. With a total score of 15 under par 269, he took home the trophy by a two shot margin. The win played a crucial role that week as the FedEx Points earned boosted him up the rankings, enabling him to take part in the playoffs. It also marked Champ's third victory on the PGA Tour.
