The Butterfield Bermuda Championship field is led by Major champion Lucas Glover, who is ranked 48th in the world. Other key players include Canadians Nick Taylor and McKenzie Hughes, both ranked in the top 60 of the 2024 FedEx Cup rankings.

The 2023 champion, Camilo Villegas, will be at Port Royal Golf Course to defend his title. Other former champions in attendance include Brian Gay and Brendon Todd.

The tournament is the penultimate opportunity to earn points for the FedEx Cup fall season. The top 125 earn their PGA Tour card for 2025, so most of the players who have not yet settled their status are confirmed in the field.

The event has always been played at Port Royal Golf Course. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones and inaugurated in 1965. It currently measures 6,842 yards and is par 71. Prior to the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, the course hosted the PGA Grand Slam of Golf (1979 - 2014).
