Rory McIlroy leads the 2024 Race to Dubai by more than 1,700 points and is favored to win the Harry Vardon Trophy awarded to the winner. If successful, McIlroy would have won the Race to Dubai for the sixth time in his career (2012, 2014, 2015, 2022, 2023).
The Northern Irishman is also the favorite to win the DP World Tour Championship. The FanDuel Sportsbook has him at +350 in the options to win the tournament, 250 points ahead of Tyrrell Hatton, who is projected as the best option (+600).
The DP World Tour Championship will also determine the names of the 10 DP World Tour Cards that will be distributed at the end of the season. Three of them have already been decided, as Thriston Lawrence, Rasmus Hojgaard and Paul Waring are out of reach for their rivals.
The seven players currently in the group of 10 but not yet guaranteed a PGA Tour card are Niklas Norgaard, Matteo Manassero, Jesper Svensson, Thorbjorn Olesen, Rikuya Hoshino, Sebastian Soderberg and Jordan Smith.
Other players with a chance to earn a spot in this group if they perform well in Dubai are Tom McKibbin, Guido Migliozzi, Romain Langasque, Julien Guerrier and Antoine Rozner.
