2024 Genesis Championship round 1 tee times and pairings explored 

The first round of the 2024 Genesis Championship will be played at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea on Thursday, October 24. Due to the time difference, tee times will be Wednesday night Eastern Time.

Top-ranked golfer in the Genesis Championship field and local idol Tom Kim will play in the most attractive group, and will be paired with fellow PGA Tour player Nicolai Hojgaard and compatriot Yubin Jang.

Both Kim and Hojgaard have had more low-key performances in 2024 than in the previous season. Both finished outside the FedEx Cup top 50 and the Dane could even lose his membership if he continues to slide down the rankings (currently 94th, top 125 earns their cards for 2025).

Jang, meanwhile, comes into the Genesis Championship as a rising star on the Korean Professional Tour. In 2024, he has won two tournaments and finished second in four others. He is currently ranked 137th in the world despite playing almost exclusively on his home circuit.
