The LIV Golf Chicago is the second-last event on the LIV calendar, coming just before the LIV Golf Team Championship in Dallas. This is the third straight year for LIV Golf to be hosted in Chicago after two successful ventures in 2022 and 2023, won by Cameron Smith and Bryson DeChambeau, respectively.
This year LIV Golf Chicago takes place at the Bolingbrook Golf Club from September 13 to 15. As the event draws close, a list of power rankings has been released by LIV Golf.
Sitting atop the power rankings is Ripper GC, led by Cameron Smith, while Smash GC, led by Brooks Koepka, is in second place.

The LIV Golf Chicago power rankings were published by LIV Golf’s official website based on the teams' performances this year. Let's take a look at the top five teams for the LIV Golf Chicago event:

#Ripper GC
This is an all-Australian team consisting of Cameron Smith as captain, Lucas Herbert, Matt Jones, and Marc Leishman. The team triumphed at LIV Golf Adelaide on home ground. After the third round in Australia, they were tied with Stinger GC for a playoff, going on to defeat the latter by one stroke.
Following their LIV Golf Adelaide triumph, they won LIV Golf Singapore with a score of 32-under, 3 shots ahead of Fireballs GC. Apart from these two wins, the team has two runner-up finishes, at the LIV Golf United Kingdom and the LIV Golf Greenbrier.
#Smash GC
The team consists of Brooks Koepka as captain, Talor Gooch, Jason Kokrak, and Graeme McDowell. Like Rippers GC, this team also has two victories this season. Their first win came at LIV Golf Las Vegas, where the team’s total score of 33-under was seven strokes better than 4Aces GC’s 27-under. Their next victory came at the LIV Golf Greenbrier, where Smash GC won with 53-under, three strokes ahead of Ripper GC.
#Torque GC
The team’s golfers are Joaquin Niemann as captain, Sebastian Munoz, Mito Pereira, and Carlos Ortiz. Torque GC had their first top-five finish at LIV Golf Mayakoba, where they settled for third place. Their next top-five finish came at LIV Golf Jeddah, where they finished T4. At LIV Hong Kong and LIV Golf Miami, they finished T2 and T4, respectively. At LIV Golf Adelaide, they finished T4.
Next, in LIV Golf Singapore and LIV Golf Houston, the team was out of the top-5 but bounced back at LIV Golf Nashville with a third-place finish. Their last top-five finish came at LIV Golf Andalucia with a T4.
#Fireballs GC
The team consists of Sergio Garcia as captain, Abraham Ancer, Eugenio Chacarra, and David Puig. Fireballs GC’s first top-five finish came at the LIV Golf Miami. They had a runner-up finish at LIV Golf Singapore and a third-place finish at LIV Golf Houston. The team won LIV Golf Andalucia with 5-under, their only triumph of the season.
#Crushers GC
The team consists of Bryson DeChambeau as captain, Paul Casey, Charles Howell III, and Anirban Lahiri. The team won two LIV events, the first coming at LIV Golf Jeddah and the second at LIV Golf Hong Kong.
