Johannes Veerman carded six birdies and three bogeys in the fourth round of the Nedbank Golf Challenge. It was enough to overcome a five-shot deficit to Aldrich Potgieter, who dropped to second place.
Veerman began his professional career on the Asian Tour in 2015. He stayed there until he earned his DP World Tour card for the 2020 season, through Q-School. A year later, he won his first European Tour event, the 2021 Czech Masters.
In the same year, Veerman achieved his best finish to date in the Race to Dubai (31st). After winning the Nedbank Golf Challenge, the American is temporarily leading the rankings for the 2025 season.
Veerman has only played in two editions of the Majors, the 2021 US Open, where he was cut, and the 2021 Open Championship, where he tied for 46th.
