2024 Open Championship: Odds and best bets explored

The 2024 Open Championship will begin this week at the Royal Troon Golf Club in Scotland. The prize money for the 2024 Open Championship is $17 million, with the winner receiving $3.1 million.

Despite 156 golfers competing in the 2024 Open Championship, the tournament is headlined by the World No.1, Scottie Scheffler. According to CBS, he is the most favorite golfer this week with 4-1 odds. Rory McIlroy, who hasn't won a Major Championship event since 2014, is the second most favorite golfer this week with 8-1 odds.

Following them are the 2024 US Open Champion Bryson DeChambeau and Swedish golfer Ludvig Aberg at 9-1. Interestingly, the fan-favorite golfer, Tiger Woods, is not among the favorites this week as he has odds of 150-1.

Defending champion Brian Harman is not among the top picks as he has odds of 60-1 this week. Jon Rahm, who withdrew from the 2024 US Open due to a foot injury, is back in the field this week with odds of 22-1.
