The TGL series is heading for its third matchup between the New York Golf Club and the Atlanta Drive Golf Club. The upcoming third-week game features a stellar field. Justin Thomas will be making his debut in the TGL in Week 3, while some other big names, such as Matt Fitzpatrick and Rickie Fowler, will be returning to play next week.
The TGL series has six teams of four players each. However, only three of them can play in a match. For next week's match, the New York Golf Club will be playing for the second time.
They had earlier lost their match against The Bay Common on January 7, while the Atlanta Drive Golf Club will be making their debut in Week 3. The next match will take place on January 21. Ahead of the matchup, here is a look at the top three players playing in the next TGL matchup:
3 top-ranked players to watch on TGL's third-week
#1 Justin Thomas
Justin Thomas will be making his debut at the TGL, playing for the Atlanta Drive Golf Club. He started his 2025 campaign with the season-opening PGA Tour event, The Sentry. He played the four rounds with scores of 71, 71, 68, and 63, tying for 26th place.
Following that, he is playing this week at the American Express. At the ongoing PGA Tour event, Thomas has been impressive with his game. He played the first round of 67 and then a round of 64, tying for eighth place in the game after two rounds.
#2 Patrick Cantlay
Patrick Cantlay will be making his debut next week at the TGL. He will be playing for the Atlanta Drive Golf Club along with teammates Billy Horschel and Justin Thomas.
While the American is looking forward to his TGL debut, he has already started his campaign on the PGA Tour. He competed in the season-opening The Sentry, starting with a rough round of 74 but bouncing back with a solid round of 64. He played the next two rounds of 65 and 68 at the Hawaii event and tied for 15th place in the tournament.
#3 Matt Fitzpatrick
Matt Fitzpatrick will be playing in the TGL for the second time. He previously made his debut for the New York Golf Club in a game against The Bay Common in the season-opening match earlier this month. However, the team lost the game.
Matt Fitzpatrick last competed on the PGA Tour's The Sentry and had a decent opening. In the season-opening Tour event, he started with a rough round of 73 but then improved in the next three rounds, playing scores of 65, 66, and 68, and tied for 24th place in the tournament.
