The 2024 LPGA Tour season was one for the books of golf. Filled with record-breaking performances and emotional victories, the golf world saw players soar to the top of the rankings.

Fans were treated to some breathtaking golf and inspiring stories throughout the year. As the season unfolded, both rising stars and veterans delivered unforgettable moments.

From Nelly Korda's winning streak to Rose Zhang making it to the top at just 21 years old, here's a look into the top five best moments that defined the last year:


#1 Nelly Korda wins her second major championship

Nelly Korda dominated the LPGA Tour this year. The World No. 1 won a whopping seven tournaments, with five of them being consecutive wins at the start of the season.

She captured her second major championship title at the 2024 Chevron Championship. The 26-year-old totaled 13 under par to beat Maja Stark by two strokes to take home a grand cheque worth $1.2 million. The tournament was her fifth back-to-back win in April.


#2 Yuka Saso wins her second US Women's Open title

Having debuted on the LPGA Tour in 2021, Yuka Saso has already picked up two victories. With both her titles being major championship victories, she won the US Women's Open in 2021 and 2024.

Saso won the 79th edition of the tournament by carding in rounds totaling 4 under par over four days. She defeated Hinako Shibuno, who placed solo second, by three strokes. Despite missing the cut at the Mizuho Americas Open a week earlier, she returned to dominate and earned a massive cheque worth a whopping $2.4 million for her performance.


#3 Rose Zhang's stellar year

Having joined the LPGA Tour in 2023 following a successful career at Stanford as a Division 1 golfer, Rose Zhang wowed fans with her performance. She captured her first victory at the 2023 Mizuho Americas Open. The win was historic as she became the first player since 2019 to win in her first start as a professional golfer.

She recorded her second win this year at the Cognizant Founders Cup. The 21-year-old rising star totaled 24 under par over four days to beat Madelene Sagstrom by two strokes and pick up her first cheque as a professional worth $450,000.


#4 Linnea Strom sets new LPGA Tour record

Linnea Strom picked up her maiden victory as a professional at the 2024 ShopRite LPGA Classic. She managed to make the cut with a birdie on the last hole of the second round and went on to card in a final-round score of 60 to hail the trophy.

Having begun the final round tied for 52nd place, the win made the Swede a 2024 Rolex First Time Winner while her final round made her the first player in the history of the LPGA Tour to card in a 60 on the final round and also win.


#5 Lydia Ko became an LPGA Hall of Fame member

Lydia Ko earned the 27th and final point required to enter the LPGA Hall of Fame at the 2024 Paris Olympics. She captured the gold medal by two strokes over Esther Henseleit. The medal earned her one of golf's most prestigious titles, and she also became the first player to win all medals (silver in 2016 and bronze in 2020).

The World No. 3 golfer started 2024 with a bang by recording a victory at the season-opening Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions with an incredible 14 under-par score. She also went on to win the AIG Women's Open in August and followed it up with another victory at the Kroger Queen City Championship the following week.
